Case Study #1: Online Tournaments

This is the tale of Dave Gamer.

Dave's playing Power Def Jam King of Street Fighters IV. He's pretty good against the AI. He thinks he's OLD SCHOOL good. He wants to show off his prowess online and try to play the best of the best.

PDJKoSF IV comes with AiLive's LiveCombat. After 10 minutes of playing, Dave's made a LiveCombat Brain, which is a statistical model of his strategies, plans, goals, and reflexes. When he lets his Brain play, it's just like Dave himself was playing.

Dave names his LiveCombat Brain BigDave.

Dave gives out copies of BigDave to his friends and they all practice against BigDave and make their own Brains, but BigDave is too good. BigDave is the King.

Dave uploads BigDave to Microsony's PlayLive online service. BigDave enters the LiveCombat-powered Brain tournament and places 10th while Dave Gamer and his friends watch on TV.

Dave can get better. Dave can make a better BigDave, and he knows it.

Dave downloads the other LiveCombat Brains and discovers, whoa, they are faster and smarter than BigDave. He plays against these enemy Brains and sees some of the secrets of the masters and creates several new BigDaves.

Dave can't wait until Friday when he will log into PlayLive and watch his newest BigDave take on all comers.

Case Study #2: The Best Sidekicks on the Block

This is the tale of Jane Gamer (no relation to Dave).

Jane is playing Super Lord of the Dynasty Rings part 3. It's a co-op brawler with a dozen soldiers on Jane's side. Jane liked SLotDR part 2, but her co-op buddies kept wandering off and getting killed when she wasn't looking.

SLotDR III has AiLive's LiveCombat. Now, there is a LiveCombat Brain watching every move she makes. From the moment she starts playing, her buddies have her back.

All of Jane's soldiers are playing just like Jane. Even as Jane changes strategies or tactics, they keep up instantly with every small variation she makes.

After getting to the end and throwing the Dynasty Ring into the firey maw of Hu Lao Gate, she's ready to play online. She can take her well-trained veterans in with her, or else sell them online to other gamers who are having trouble defeating Lord Thoth.

Jane leaves posts on Microsony's PlayLive online service such as: ``I'm selling a great set of archers with top-notch training plus these two great bodyguards, all very cheap!''
